MADE in Yorkshire, part of the MADE in Group, exists to champion, and promote UK Manufacturing.
MADE was established in 2009, and began as a simple pledge signed by the Managing Directors of manufacturing firms to do three things:
1. To open a channel of communication within local firms to source and supply locally where possible
2. To upskill and reskill workforces, and finally
3. To promote good news from manufacturing businesses in order to counteract the adversity in the media that ultimately undermines confidence
MADE group is now the largest private manufacturing network in the region, representing more than £120bn of UK manufacturing which includes 500 firms with a turnover of £2m+ a year.
Atlas Leisure Homes has two manufacturing sites in Hull. Following the market boom in staycations created by the pandemic, our efficiencies were doubled to meet customers demand.
Unfortunately, manufacturers are facing unprecedented supply issues caused by Brexit, the pandemic, and other recent issues such as the blockage of the Suez Canal in March.
UK Manufacturing is certainly experiencing testing times, which makes interacting with the MADE community even more reassuring, knowing that we are all in this together, and we will come out of it together.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our team, our customers who are patiently waiting for their new leisure homes and our suppliers who are all working so hard to get the manufacturing out of this fix.
